Can it print in FDM?

This is a test printing of The Lazy Forger's "Battlefields of Tomorrow" Towers and Lookouts.

The Lazy Forger recommends printing with a resin printer, and his examples look stunning.  But, I only have an FDM printer.  So, I tried it out.

This is a tall tower, and 3 short towers.  I wanted the modern "high voltage lines" tower look:

I usually use Hatchbox PLA, but this time I'm using GST3D's filament.  After tweaking some settings, I was able to get good prints with minimal stringing.  His files come pre-supported, so I didn't have to worry about that.

The GST3D filament is a bear to get to stick to the build plate.  I ended up going with a full raft.
My printer is a Creality CR10S-Mini.  Bed temp is 60, Print Head temp is 190.  I used retraction, and turned the print speed down to 40mm/s.

After printing and separating the various pieces, I used cyanoacrylate glue to tack them together.  Since they will be moved around a wargaming board, I used a handheld 3D-printing "pen" to add extra support to the joints.  You can see it up close, but not on the table.

The minimal stringing I did get was easily removed.  I used a lighter and gently waved it over the model, just like burning loose strings off a uniform.  However, you do have to be quick!  I blinked and one of the towers was destroyed, twisting and melting in my hand.

Oh well, it will make a good destroyed tower, instead:
