                                              Miles won a raffle at school and instead of picking out something for himself, he picked out something he knew his little sister would like.  A beach ball and play doh.  The kid even took his own money and bought his sister a card.

Saturday May 19, Helen celebrated her 4th Birthday.  She had loads of fun and now can't wait until her next birthday. 

Hiking and a wipeout

So Daddy took the kids hiking yesterday.  Only went a short distance, the USFS feels the need to keep roads closed to deny access.  Didn't make it to our objective, but we found a fun stream crossing to play in anyway.

Between that and some medical issues in the afternoon, miss Helen got a little wiped out...

Little League Team Photo 2012

This is Miles' baseball team this year The Orioles.  Last night 4-27-12 they played the Yankees and won their game 11-0.  To show we had great sportsmen ship we decided to keep playing the game past our drop dead time of 1hr 45minutes and just let the kids have fun.   After the game had been finalized, Miles' coach gave this proud Mom a very nice surprise and let Miles pitch for the first time ever.  He walked one batter and struck out two.  Not too bad for his first time ever on the mound.   I was very proud of my son, and he received one of the two game balls given out last night.   He was so very excited, and was definitely on cloud 9 and then some.

                                                 Miles built this Rover from scratch using various things from around the house.  His teacher was very impressed with how much detail he had in his project, she thought this was kit we bought.  When she found out Miles made it himself she was even more impressed.
